An Ambitious and Professional Horse Racing Yard

A dynamic team, headed by trainer Alexandra Dunn, has seen significant success in recent seasons. State-of-the-art facilities and exceptional levels of care mean that each horse is trained as an individual and is given the opportunity to reach their full potential.

The yard is situated in West Buckland, Wellington in the glorious Blackdown Hills countryside. Strategically located, the yard not only benefits from a picturesque location, but excellent road access to race courses around the UK.

The yard was founded in 2009 by Alexandra Dunn. Having enjoyed riding and training success in point-to-pointing and National Hunt racing for a number of years she was keen to establish her own base from which to oversee every aspect of the training and management of the horses in her care.

Alexandra has recently received her full training license. Alexandra’s results as a permitted trainer during the 2012-2013 seasons speak for themselves - a win ratio at 21%.

Following a period of substantial investment, the yard can now boast top quality facilities and a standard of horse care and management that is second to none.

At Alexandra Dunn Racing both owner and horse receive a first-class, personal service. Despite providing an extremely professional and results-driven facility, we aim to maintain a friendly, informal atmosphere on the yard. Owners are welcome to visit and watch training sessions and are regularly updated on progress.

Rather than adopt a ‘one size fits all’ approach to training fees and ancillary costs, we prefer to offer tailored packages to suit individual owners. However, we are confident that our rates are extremely competitive and provide excellent value for money.

We have horses at the stables that are available for lease or sale. If we have nothing suitable, we are always happy to help potential owners to find a suitable horse either privately or at the sales.

We are extremely particular about the horse we purchase and have developed a substantial knowledge in acquiring suitable ‘horses for courses’, we purchase horses at the sales and privately to suit every budget.
